Alice Lu is a former member of China’s National Women’s Foil Team and has served as assistant coach for Canada’s National Women’s Team. With 25 years of fencing experience and 20 years spent building CFA into one of Ontario’s largest clubs, she brings elite-level insight, leadership, and hands-on coaching to every program she oversees.

Chief Operations Officer, Armourer, Foil, Veteran & Historical Coach

Brily Lepine started fencing in the early 1990’s and still enjoys it. He’s an NCCP certified coach for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of fencing, as well as having been an active coach since 2006. He is often the first teacher all students at the Canadian Fencing Academy have and has even started many of the younger coaches now active in the Canadian Fencing Academy! Brily believes in giving a new student a love of the sport that will last a lifetime.

Owner, Veteran Fencer & CFA Director of Operations.

Kyle Foster is an active veteran competitor with more than 35 years of fencing experience. He oversees club operations and programming at the Canadian Fencing Academy. A multiple-time national champion, he has also earned international medals representing Canada and CFA.

Erika Dominguez began fencing foil in 2012 and has been coaching since 2022. She has competed extensively across Canada, is a two-time OUA champion, and has earned multiple medals at the provincial and national levels. She draws on that experience to help students develop their skills and work toward their athletic goals.

Brandon Jalowica

Brandon Jalowica has 20 years of fencing experience and has medaled at the provincial, national, and international levels. A former member of Canada’s Junior National Team, he focuses as a coach on building strong fundamentals, refined technique, and the confidence athletes need to develop both in training and in competition.

Foil Coach

Ethan Haines has been fencing for more than 10 years and began coaching in 2021. A four-time OUA champion, he has represented Canada internationally at both the junior and senior levels and served as a coach at the 2026 Ontario Winter Games. He draws on that experience to help students build strong technique and develop as competitive athletes.
